SPECIAL CARRIED COVERS OF KARANATAKA POSTAL CIRCLE

  India post has released various carried covers to mark the special events.,like covers carried by hovercraft,by tableau,by harkara,by toy train ,by boat,by horse cart and even by drone.
  I am sharing some of carried covers of Karnataka.

FIRST HOT AIR BALLOON FLIGHT COVER:

  This was carried in 14/11/1963,Ballon took off from race course ground Bangalore at 12.05pm and ended at Cholanayaknhalli village ,Thippagondanhalli P.O of Bengaluru district.Mr D.N Ramachandran PMG Mysuru circle handed philatelic mail to pilot H.Jo.Sheer of First Balloon Mail Flight with one Co-pilot and an Indian youngster Anil Kumar of Bangalore.

SPECIAL AIR FLIGHT CARRIED POST CARD:

  A special post cards were carried from Jakkur airport to Children's village 
by aircraft.This was done to raise the funds for Children's welfare.Date of flight 14/11/67.Pilot G.Nallayya

SPECIAL FLIGHT COVER 'KABALI- SPECIAL FLIGHT' 

   This special cover was relased to commemorate "KABALI- SPECIAL FLIGHT" take off for Rajinikanth's movie,between Bengaluru - Chennai - Bengaluru.This was first time in history a special flight was scheduled for a movie. Air Asia flight was scheduled 

             

           

             

                 

DANCE TROOP CARRIED SPECIAL COVER:

    This Dance troop carried special cover was released on 10/01/2019 during BIDARPEX 2019, by postal department to create the awareness about philately and other services of postal department.This cover was carried from Gurunank Jhuira S O to PMG Bidar H O

   This special cover was released at BIDARPEX 2019,dt of release 11/01/2019.This was carried from Bidar H O to Gurunanak Jhira S O

BULLOCK CART CARRIED SPECIAL COVER:

  This special cover was carried from Veterinary university campus ,Kamthana S O to Dr Charles Lobo CPG Bidar H O.

   

      

   

POSTMAN CARRIED COVER:

This special cover was released on occasion of inauguration of Postman circle and statue at Head post office road Belgavi.Cover was carried from post master Belgavi H O to  Superintendent of Post office Belgavi  H O 

  

         

BICYCLE CARRIED SPECIAL COVERS:

    These covers were released on the occasion of bicycle rally organised by Karanataka postal circle during National postal Week 2018

BICYCLE CARRIED COVER:

This special cover  was released at CYCLOTHON 2019 bicycle rally organised by Vijayapura postal division on 27/01/19 at Basavanabagewadi to popularise the postal services

KHADI ARTISAN CARRIED COVER

The Khadi artisan carried cover was released on 19/8/2019 at philfest.The khadi cloth on cover is produced by artisans of Khadi gramodyoga sangha of Bidar.Cover was carried from PMG Bidar H O to Sub postmaster Chitguppa
